All content in this book are from the artical A List of Native Trees of Britain . The rest of the content are come from my research that are about the truth of global warming. The theme of this book is to explain the causes of global warming and emphasize the destruction of nature by humans, so that people can reflect and call on people to protect the natural environment. Through the typograpghy of different content indicate the topics of each spread such as overexploitation of farmland, air pollution, forest fire and so on.
Book Cover Design
The most direct manifestation of global warming is the increase in temperature, so I want to use a thermometer to express it. Like ice-cream will melt at high temperatures so I use several tracing papers and overlap them as the book cover to make the tree on the cover like being melted. Global warming + Forest = Melting Forest.
Book Details
The tracing paper not only be used on the cover deisgn but also be widely used in the book. On the basis of the original, most of graphics printed on the tracing papers. Because of the translucent features of tracing paper, it plays a very important role in the whole book. When readers read content through tracing papers and without them, the information they get are completely different. In the process of comparison, the theme of this book can leave a deeper impression to the audience.
What I want to express here is the process of trees being felled because of human destruction. The additional two pages express the process of cutting the tree.
